Dressy Kaylee - New Colour Combination

>> Friday, February 3, 2012

Hi Everyone
It is rather wet here in the Blue Mountains, perfect weather to sit & colour!
I am just loving the current challenge ..... New Colour Combination.
It has made me use different copics & helped me get out of the rut of using my 'usual' colours that I love to play with.

You still have a couple of hours if you want to join in the fun of this challenge. We would love to see what you create.

For this image, I have used the R30 group.

Stamp: Dressy Kaylee - digi (Some Odd Girl)

Don't forget to stop by the Mad for Markers Online Store for all your copic needs.
Sammi also stocks a large range of stamps, including Some Odd Girl.

Until next time

February............ But what about January!!!!!!!

>> Thursday, February 2, 2012

I think my title says it all today. Where in the world did January go. If this is an indication of how fast the year is going to go I think I may be in trouble!!!
We still have a couple of days to go with our current challenge of trying a new colour combination.
This week I did in fact try a new colour combination and also tried something totally different. I found this cute little 3D kit that I had stashed away. Not sure how long I have had it for so I thought I would do something with it. The hard part was trying to add some copic colour to something that has already been coloured.
I also found this Divine Victorian chair that I bought as a digi image and thought it would go perfect with my little window scene I am trying to create!!!

There was a lot of 3Ding on this card, and I think the cat on the lounge makes it just perfect!

Copics Used:
E70, 71, 74, 77, 79.
BV23, 25, 29.

I can't say I have ever used these colours together but wanted a really rustic, old colouring.

Check out the Mad For Markers Online Store for all your copic and stamping needs. There are constantly new stamps coming into the shop and I am sure with CHA going on at the moment there will be some great new ones coming soon.

Remember you don't have to make a card for your entry, it can be anything you want, as long as you use your COPIC MARKERS to colour your image, creation etc.

Thanks for dropping bye.

New Hair Colour - Princess Anya

>> Saturday, January 28, 2012

Hi Copic Lovers,

Alicia here.  I have a "pretty in pink" Anya Princess card to share today.
I am trying out a new hair colour.  A good blogging friend of mine has a limited amount of Copics.  She sent me a list of what she has got and I coloured my Princess Anya stamp only using the Copic colours in her collection.

The colours are:

Hair: E37, E33, Y17, Y11 and Y02
Skin: E11, E21
Pinks: R46, RV34, RV23

Do you have a smallish Copic collection and need some help putting them together on an image?  Why not email me and I will see if I can help you out or leave me a comment on my blog?

Sammi has an awesome collection of the Anya stamps in her store here.
They start at $8 each, which is so affordable.

I hope you have a lovely weekend.
Happy Colouring!

A big Hello and a new colour combo!

>> Thursday, January 26, 2012

Firstly, I would like to say Hello to all of you out there in blog world. My name it Tara And today is my first post for Mad for Markers....so please bare with me!
I love bright colours and especially blues and greens, so i thought, with this challenge a new colour combo, why not do the complete opposite and go for black and grey! you cannot get more of a different colour combo that that for me! So i Decided to scrap my daughters latest fancy dress outfit and use TGF CC Wednesday. (ed. Wednesday is currently winging her way from the US to Mad for Markers - she should be here soon!!)
I tried to colour her in only C colours and black(100) but i had to give a little colour to her face.
I also used several Fiskars border punches and i made up the photo frames on the PC and cut them out.

Here are the colours I used to colour Wednesday.

I did use AtYouSpica in silver and clear on the stamp as well. and a Copic multiliner to give Wednesdays hair more definition.

Make sure you check out the Design teams other great creations for this challenge and If you require any of the above markers or a stamp or two you can find all you need at the Mad for Markers Online Store.

And lastly....Don't forget to have a go and enter the challenge on the right sidebar!

Tara :)
