This challenge we trialled the option of giving everyone the opportunity to vote on our winners and this proved quite successful. So for our next fortnight's challenge we will judge our Top 3 from the votes on Inlinkz. I will remind you when to vote, it will be the Saturday before we announce the winners.

I cant wait for our next challenge to begin (which will be tomorrow) so get your Copics ready!!
Happy Colouring,

Lots of Red Hair!

>> Wednesday, July 6, 2011

Hi All...Susan here with my Wednesday post and I have lots to show today so I will get right down to it. I have four (yes, you read correctly... FOUR!) cards to share with you today, each using a different combination of Copic markers to create red hair for our current  RED HAIR challenge.

The first card uses the Some Odd Girl stamp Dancin Mae.

Her hair is coloured in using E51, E11, YR14 and E07.

Here is Twirl Anya that I have coloured in three ways. The Copics used for the hair are written beside each image.

Here are the three cards that I have made using the Twirl Anya stamp from The Greeting Farm. This stamp is available now at the Mad for Markers store. Just click on the link!

Hair coloured using: E51, E15, E08 and E09.

Hair coloured using: E00, E11, YR14 and E08.

Hair coloured using: YR00, YR02, YR04, YR07, YR14 and R08.

For more details on these cards please check out my blog. This post is long enough without all the card details as well! LOL!  :o)

Don't forget to check out the wonderful creations from the talented M4M Design Team (links in the sidebar!) and remember you MUST use COPIC markers on your creation to enter our challenge!

You can stop by the Mad for Markers Online Store for all of your Copic markers and X-Press It Blending Card supplies!

Red Hair Challenge

>> Saturday, July 2, 2011

Hi Copic Lovers,

Our current challenge is Red Hair.
This is a card I made awhile ago for my Mum for Mother's Day.
She has red hair so that is why I coloured it red.
The hair on the lady on the card is a little more vibrant than my Mum's but not by much!

I coloured with Copics:
Skin: E21, E00, R20, E02
Hair: YR68, R17, R59, E08, YR61, R37
Lips: R59, R37
Blue Dress: B00, B05, B02

I made these flowers with felt paper, kindy glitz and pearls.

Please link up your red hair creations.
I cant wait to seem them!

Red Hair Challenge

>> Friday, July 1, 2011

Hi Everyone,
Welcome to another day here at the Mad for Markers Blog.
This week we started a new Challenge - Red Hair.

I must admit that I was totally out of my depth when I heard that this challenge was being set.
I have never tried to colour 'red' hair & was totally out of my comfort zone.
After putting this off for quite a while I finally searched some blogs for some ideas, only to find that the copic colours they have used for red hair, I did not have. So I came up with my own.

Here is my creation for this week:

Copics Used:
Hair: E17, E15, E27
Skin: E0000, E000, RV00, R35, R37, R43
Eyes: B23, B26, B28
Glasses: T5, T7, T9
Top: R43, R35, R37
Jeans: B91, B93, B95, B97
Boots: E71, E74

Don't forget to stop over at the Mad for Markers Store for all your copic needs.

Until next time
Melissa
