Red,White and Blue

>> Thursday, January 20, 2011

No Way!! Thursday again?! And its the third week of January already!

This is not good news for me, only 4 more sleeps until my youngest starts big school. Oh I am so not ready for this!

Moving right along, before I have to break out the tissues, lol. I have a card to share with you today for the current Mad For Markers challenge, which is a colour combo to use either Red, White and Blue or Green and Gold.

For my card I have used Kenny K's digi image "Skateboard".

I really wanted this image to be 3D and pop off the page so I printed it twice and cut out the boy and the skateboard separately and stuck them on the the first image with some 3D tape. I tried to take a photo of it for you but it's a bit hard to see.

I even managed to decorate the inside of the card this time too.

Copics used to colour this image were:

Skin - E00, E000, E1 ,R20 and R22
Clothes, helmet and skate board - B21, B24, B26, B28, R24, R27,R29, C1, C3, C5, N0, N1 and N3

I used my red Spica pen to colour the red star on the front and the ones inside of the card.

You still have time to submit your project to our current challenge so come on, show us what you got!!

Head on over to the Mad For Markers Challenge Blog to get your daily dose of inspiration and to link up your creation. I can't wait to see it!!

For all your Copic and related supplies head on over to Mad For Markers online store.

Mad For Markers post to Australia and New Zealand and stock a large range of Copic Markers, Blending Card, Masking Paper etc.

Yellow & Green

>> Wednesday, January 19, 2011

Hi everyone,
It's Wednesday and my day to share my latest creation for Mad for Marker's "Australia Day Colours" Challenge.
Last week I used red, blue and white so this week I have tried something a little different... Yellow and Green. And although they are not my favourite colours to mix together I must say I dont mind the finished product surprisingly lol.

I have used the following Copic's for this creation:

Face/Skin: E0000,00,11,R20
Top: Y000,04,08
Pants: G02,03,05
Socks: W0,01

Even though this colour combination may not be your cup of tea like me, I encourage you to give it a go. You may be pleasantly surprised with your results like myself.
And don't forget to stop by the Mad for Marker's online store for all your Copic goodies, Sammi has the best prices around!
Thanks for stopping by.

Australian Colours - Red, Blue and White

>> Tuesday, January 18, 2011

Hi Copic Lovers,
I am having another go at the Red, Blue and White theme we have happening here at the moment. I went with this Kenny K image because they are really motivating me to "colour" at the moment.  I am down to my last scraps of red and need to buy more red card asap.  I kept the sketch simple and uncluttered so the image can really stand out.

I coloured with the following Copics:

Skin: E21, E00, R20
Hair:E47, E37, E35, E31
Reds: R59, R27, R85
Blues: B29, B24, B05
Greys: C-1, C-3, C-5
Outline: BG10

I actually love using this colour scheme.  Everything comes out so bright and fresh.
Why dont you play along?
Link up your creations in the sidebar.
Happy Colouring,
Alicia xx

Emma here with some Inspiration for our current challenge, which is to use the Australian colors of Red, Whitte and Blue or the Green and Gold. I have gone with the Red, White and Blue colors, although my red does look a little like washed out Salmon, but I promise I have used my R Copics, just the very light ones though!

Sorry it's not a great Picture, but I have had to take it last night, so it was the best I could get!

I saw this great tutorial for this rustic flower the other day and I had to give it a go. I was pretty happy wth how it turned out

Here are the Copics that I used!

Hi Copic Lovers,

I was inspired by the lovely Michelle on our DT Team's cards to colour a Kenny K image. This card I made for my cousin Jess. It was her 20th birthday yesterday, she had brown hair and she loves playing guitar...so I picked this image especially for her. I decided to give the rock-star girl blue glittery hair streaks...imagine having hair like this...if only I could be this cool LOL!!

I used a lot of Copics for this card and so here are the colours:

Blues/Aquas: B05, B00, B02, B97, B32, B45, BG05, G00, BG15, BG01
Skin: E00, E11, E51, R20
Lips: R59, R46, RV42
Browns: E35, E37, E31, E47
Greys: B60, C-1, C-3
Outline BG10

Have you heard about the Copic Colouring Conference?
Sounds exciting...I would love to go!
Head on over here for more info...

Happy Colouring,

Happy New Year To All

>> Monday, January 3, 2011

Hello to all our followers and a huge

HAPPY NEW YEAR

I hope the Christmas rush was bearable. Well as I type this I am sitting at home, flodded in, or out....... Not sure which one. I live on a property outside of Rockhampton and I am sure most of you have seen the deluge on the news. Myself and my family are all fine, although we are unable to get into town so are relying on the supplies we have in the freezers. I suppose that's what you get for living on a property.

I hope that everyone is staying as dry as they possible can and Please take it easy on the roads.

Now down to business......... In keeping with the :Anything Goes" theme I have decided to have a go at a card with a flower on it. I don't normally make cards with flowers on them, well coloured ones anyway so this was a bit of a challenge for me. I have used a wood mounted stamp I had and have added some gorgeous Magnolia butterflies. I have used a beautiful Martha Stewart punch to make the fence at the bottom and I coloured it with some Walnut ink.

Make sure you have a look at some of the awesome entries we already have for this challenge and check out the other Design Team blogs for some great inspiration.

Copics;

Flower; R81, R83, R85, R89.
Butterflies; YG91, YG93, YG95, YG97.

Images;
Flower; Wood mounted unknown designer.
Butterflies; Magnolia.

Thanks for having a look today, be sure to check out all the other great creations on our blog.
