those yellows again! with a christmas twist!

Hello there! so we are coming to the end of this months challenge with the yellows.
This was not an easy challenge especially if you are wnating to make a bunch of xmas cards!
but you can add a bit of Y into your craft cause gold is always good on xmas cards.
And that is exactly what i did!

Isn't she cute! she reminds me of the movie Elf ! As you can she this is an Some odd girl image. You can purchase a variety of Some odd girl stamps over at Mad for Markers.

Here are the colours i used.

and here is the finished card. I also used some kaisercraft papers and 2 fiskars border punches called upper crest and lacy doubles.

Ys and YRs challenge - Carly

Hello there :)  I have a confession .... I don't like the colour orange!  I really don't ..... the only thing I really like the look of that is orange is a ... well an orange!  But I think I'm starting to come around .....
You see I have been colouring with oranges quite a bit lately .... its a lovely colour on a card and really suits masculine cards, Halloween cards and Thanksgiving cards.

Talking about Thanksgiving and orange ..... that is the theme of the latest Mad For Markers challenge!

So here is my latest 'orange' themed creation.

 How adorable is this image!!!!!! she comes in a set of two gorgeous images and lots of sentiments.  You can grab her from the Mad For Markers store .. .here.  The set is from The Greeting Farm - Buddies.

 I have coloured this cute little pair in the following copic markers:-

Tropical Mae coloured with Ys

Well I am running a little late, I had trouble uploading photos for some reason. I adore this Tropical Mae digi image from Some Odd Girl. Mad for Markers stocks a selection of some odd girl clear stamps which you can find here. My idea of a holiday is anywhere tropical and warm.

I have had this image coloured for a while and hadn't put the card together. She has been coloured with copics on x-press it blending card which are all available over at Mad for Markers store.

a little Orange Princess

Good morning ... just popping on to share a card I created for the current challenge... This challenge really was quite a challenge for me actually as I don't much like colouring with LOTS of yellows or Oranges.... but I  quite enjoyed it! :D

Ice Cream and Pickles

Hi Blogging friends,

Another quick post here today for Mad for Markers using this Saturated Canary image available in Sammi's store here.

I went for a monotone card today using mainly Ys and YRs for the current challenge here.

Copics:

Ys: Y08, Y06, Y02, Y00

YRs: YR07, YR04, YR02, YR00

My cards are getting so much simpler now... I am not as big on embellishing as I used to be.  It could be to do with my de-cluttering of my craft room.  It is rather a slow process, but the more I get rid of, the more I want to get rid of and try to keep everything clean and neat.  I am so not naturally a neat person.  I have to work really hard at it.  Or, it could be to do with the fact that I dont like the embellishments I put on a card as much anymore...not too sure, are the trends changing?? Is washi tape replacing flowers?  I havent bought any washi tape yet, but I do want some!!

Anyway, to leave you on this rainy Saturday afternoon with a picture of our gorgeous boy helping himself to some Copics.  He LOVES them!!!

November is Y and YR .

Hello there!
So i did not know what i wanted to create today until yesterday i received an email from a  friend telling me about an internet friend who has just been diagnosed with breast cancer. It was quite a shock because she is a young and healthy person. Anyway my friend said she is getting a bunch of us to make cards to post to her and i thought i would love to make one and share it with you all here as well as send it to her in America.
Some odd girls has a bunch of great stamps, which you can buy at Mad for Markers. this particular image is actually a digital image (available direct from Some Odd Girl) but i had to use it as it has the Breast Cancer awareness ribbon her dress.

As you can see the Y and YR colours go great with the pinks!.

New Release - Swing Digi

Ys and YRs that's the challenge this month!

Hello there Copic markers fans, Kasey here with another Mad for Markers challenge, this month we want you to use those warm colours and break out the Ys and YRs in your collection.

Your project must feature mostly Ys and YRs although you can use other colours in the image.

Here I've made my first Christmas card for the year, using Christmas Lantern Marci, she's so cute and she said vintage was the go!

 I just loved making this card, I haven't done vintage for a while.  The papers are Kaiser Timeless Classics, I've used Very Vanilla SU card, Vintage Photo distress ink to age the edges.  The lace is coloured with E42, it started out white!  I made the pins with some glass beads and I've used Wild Orchid Crafts flowers and Lily of the Valley sentiment and spellbinders Moroccan Motifs die which has been sponged with Vintage Photo.

Now for all the copics used here

The coat, hat and shoes are Y28 and E40, yes that's right, and they blended beautifully! then some YR31 on the trim with Sand spica added on the edges.
Dress YR31 and YR12
Hair:  Y11, 15, 23, 28
Skin:  E000, E01, E11, R20
Lantern YR27, Y15 and 0  Lemon spica and crystal effects glossy coating.

Quick card idea...

Hi Copic Lovers,

Here is a card I made recently.

I have had the image coloured for a long time and I found some papers and ribbon that matched perfectly.  This is such a quick easy sketch.  If you have some doilies in your stash, give it a go.  It takes no time at all and looks pretty.

mulitliner madness

we have seen lots of cards and drawings this month using multiliners but one of the things i use my multiliners for the most is to journal on my scrapbooking pages. as they are acid free and come an an array of colours and thicknesses they are perfect for this.

Here are a couple of scrapbook pages i have used my multiliners on.

You can purchase these multi liners from the Mad for Markers store, or if you are in the neighbourhood of Penrith New South Wales, why not drop by to the paper crafts expo held at penrith panthers on mulgoa road and say hi and buy a marker or 2! the expo is on till Sunday.
